What is Ogham:
Ogham is an ancient Irish alphabet with each letter represented by a mark along one central line. Dating back to the 4th century, it is the earliest form of writing to be found in Ireland. Ogham was carved into stones to mark land boundaries or to commemorate a member of the community. Today there are roughly 400 surviving stones featuring proper names, ancestral and tribal affiliations, and Latin words.
